2008 Spring Sale Saturday, March 29th MSU Pavillion Our goals in sponsoring A Public Jersey Auction We wish to present a cross section of Michigan Jersey breeding, whether "show" "index" "pedigreed" or just sound and well grown identified Jerseys that can go in your dairy and milk profitably and birth healthy replacements. You will find that anyone can afford to buy a registered Jersey at the MJCC sale--We have something for everyone. But our emphasis is on animals that demonstrate the honesty and integrity of Michigan Jersey breeders--whether experienced as breeders or relatively new to the purebred business. Michigan Jerseys are different--Michigan Jersey breeders have robust and growthy animals acculimated to cold winters and humid summers, already proven to compete within TMR feeding multi-breed dairy facilities or as part of a seasonal calving intensive rotation grazing management. There is no "one size fits all" breeding approach that will define Michigan Jerseys, as you will find while scanning the on line catalog. Animals will be added to this site as the cattle are consigned: If you have an animal or animals to consign please let Larry Place (517-625-7202 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or Greg Palen ( 989-834-2115 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it They will start visiting herds next month but if you already know what animal or animals you want to consign you can get your animals on the web site as soon as we get the information. The first 2 animals are from the Hapalson Jersey Farm of the Palmerton family. They have always consigned animals that have made their new owners happy. Many times their animals have topped the State sale.
