BENEFITS OF AN MJCC MEMBERSHIP

First--  Fellowship  with active and retired Jersey breeders across Michigan.

Second--  Participation  in the Spring Sale as a consignor or crew volunteer;  in the summer show at MSU or the State Fair at Detroit as an exhibitor or spectator;  in farm field days sponsored by individual members, to display their cattle and their management practices in milking, feeding, grazing, breeding, animal and milk marketing.

Third--  Service  as an elected Director of the MJCC, in which you can participate in the decision making that is required to maintain the MJCC as a vital part of the Michigan dairy industry leadership.   Directors are elected annually.

Fourth--  Recognition  for your contributions to the dairy industry, and for the productivity and desirability of your Jerseys:  Distinguished Service Award      Master Breeder Award     Production (Age-class) Leaders     All-Michigan show awards

Fifth--  Encouraging dairyYouth  to consider the dairy business as a future career, and to learn and experience the potential in and advantages of the Jersey breed, as competitive with (and in some cases superior to) their other dairy breed choices.

Sixth--  Promotion and Publicity    The MJCC publishes a periodic "Michigan Jersey News" which is mailed to all members and  industry contacts, and provides a print advertising media as well as a newsletter of Jersey events and show and sales reports.  This website is also proposed as a membership benefit, to have your own farm "home page" as part of the MJCC's new online membership/farm directory, to promote and awareness of and easier access to Michigan Jerseys on the world wide web.

ALL THIS FOR HOW MUCH??    (see Membership registration)
